Why I started GladEyes

I had an uncle with an intellectual disability, though no one in our family had a word for it. Where I grew up, people like him were often misunderstood and kept out of sight. When I came to the United States almost 30 years ago, I saw something different: people with disabilities living full lives, with the right support and the dignity they deserve. I never forgot that.

Years later, as my own parents grew older, I learned how hard it is to find care you can trust. Adult children can't carry it all alone, and they shouldn't have to.

I've spent my career in healthcare, and I always knew my own business would be in this work. GladEyes is the help I wish my family had. Whether you're caring for an aging parent, a loved one with a disability, or both, we're here to walk alongside you.

GladEyes was founded by Gladys O., MBA, who brings more than 15 years in healthcare operations and compliance. She guided GladEyes through NJ DDD approval and state registration, and she stays personally involved with every family we serve.
